Philanthropy: Alpha Xi Delta proudly supports Autism Speaks, the largest Autism advocacy organization in the world. Autism Speaks is dedicated to increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders, to funding research into the causes, prevention and treatments for autism, as well as to advocating the needs of individuals with autism and their families to lawmakers. With one in 150 children diagnosed with autism and no known cure, Alpha Xi Deltas are committed to improving the lives of children and families affected by autism. Our chapter supports Autism Speaks during their annual awareness event 'Walk Now for Autism' and donates money to Autism research with fundraising events at UT?such as our 'Taco Xi!' midnight breakfast taco buffet and?block party. Alpha Xi Deltas are also actively involved in supporting the philanthropic events of many other Greek organizations.
